Jim Russell's comments:

Guess to where most of these 9 billion people will want to emigrate. The same place to which most of the world's current 6 billion people would like to emigrate--America. But that would, of course, be impossible. Therefore we must be prudent and realize that our quality of life depends largely upon on how we regulate immigration.

In 2002, over 70,000 Chinese and over 60,000 Indians immigrated to the United States--compared to about 12,000 Poles, 2,000 Italians and 1,500 Irish. Until 1978 there was a 20,000 per nation cap on immigration.

The most frequently cited concern of the residents of Westchester and Rockland Counties is "over-development." It seems that every available square foot is being built on. Sky-rocketing immigration rates are fueling over-development, threatening our environment and reducing the quality of life in our neighborhoods.

What will it take for some people to wake up and demand that Congress reduce legal immigration and stop illegal immigration?
